Scientists Positions (F and E): INST, Gov. of India – Scientists F and E at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST)

Position 1: Scientist F

Pay scale: PB-4, Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP Rs. 8,900

Educational requirements:

  1. Doctorate degree in Natural/Agricultural/Engineering/Medical Sciences or Nanoscience/Technology.
  2. In the case of medical professionals, the minimum qualification could be an M.D. or equivalent as approved by MCI.

Desirable qualifications:

  1. At-least six (06) years postdoctoral/ professional experience after PhD
  2. High quality publications
  3. Patents filed / granted
  4. PhD students guided

Experience requirements:

  1. Experience of twelve years in Research and Development in Scientific, Industrial and Academic Institutions.
  2. Should have experience as Head of Department / Centre or Coordinator of major research projects in any branch of science / technology, preferably in the area of scanning probe-microscopy / experimental physics at nanoscale / nanophotonics / tissue engineering / biopolymers/ biomedical devices.
  3. Have contributed to research/teaching as evidenced by published work/innovation and impact.

Position 2: Scientist E

Pay scale: PB-4, Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP Rs. 8,700

Educational requirements:

  1. Doctorate degree in Natural/ Agricultural/Engineering/M edical Sciences or Nanoscience/Technology.
  2. In the case of medical professionals, the minimum qualification could be an M.D. or equivalent as approved by MCI.

Desirable qualifications:

  1. At-least four years postdoctoral/ professional experience after PhD
  2. High quality publications
  3. Patents filed / granted
  4. PhD students guided

Experience requirements:

  1. Experience of ten (10) years in Research and Development in Scientific, Industrial and Academic Institutions.
  2. Experience of evolving, managing and directing research projects under relevant branch of science/technology, preferably in the area of scanning probemicroscopy / experimental physics at nanoscale / nano – photonics / tissue engineering / biopolymers/ biomedical devices.
  3. Have contributed to research/teaching as evidenced by published work/innovation and impact.
