Category of PhD Student to be admitted: REGULAR only; student in this category works full-time for the PhD degree.
Eligibility:
- applicant must have to have a valid CSIR–JRF qualification AND
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Biosciences or in other relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
- Students in final year (MSc student) and awaiting results are also eligible to apply and sit for the selection process provided he/she has a valid CSIR certificate. OR
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks. OR
- Applicant must have 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)/Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 OR
- Applicant must hold 4 year Bachelor’s degree in a related area in Engineering/Technology /Science (from other than IITs/IISc) in a relevant subject.
- Minimum Eligibility Criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ST/PD applicants.
