SRF/JRF position at IIT Ropar 1763 views

Applications are invited for the temporary post of Junior/Senior Research Fellow (SRF/JRF) to work for DRDO sponsored project in Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar).

The selected candidate may be endorsed to register for PhD program as per the existing institute rules.

Name of the Post: Junior/ Senior Research Fellow (Contract)

Number of Post: One (01)

Project Title: Finite Element Based Modeling and Experimental Characterization of C-SiC composite

Tenure: 3 years or till the completion of the project (whichever is earlier).

Qualifications:

• Applicant must hold Master degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Aerospace, Civil Engineering or similar Engineering or Technology branch candidates with Master or Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering/Technology branch
• Applicant must have outstanding good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale or 65%
• Applicant must have a good GATE score.
• Desirable:
• Finite element analysis back ground and knowledge of mechanical characterization and MATLAB programming.
• Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to do multi-task, effectively.

Salary:

• As per DRDO norms
• JRF Rs 25000/- with 10% HRA
• SRF Rs 28000/- with 10% HRA
