Summer Student Visiting Internship Program-2019 2440 views

Summer Student’s Visiting Internship Program (SSVIP-2019), a one-month internship program, is designed to enhance awareness and to instill interest in high quality academic research among young Science, Engineering and Technology students through a goal oriented summer mini-project undertaken at KARE.

The selected participants will work on a specific project in association with the faculty members and scientists of various Research Centers of KARE. At the end of the program, each student presents a short seminar and submits a report on the project carried out. The outcome of their research could form part of a research article, if the results are interesting and worthy

Selected participants will be paid a stipend of Rs. 5,000/- for the duration of the program. In addition, they are entitled for re-imbursement of Travel Expenses (limited to round trip sleeper class train fare between place of residence and Srivilliputhur) upon production of relevant ticket. Participants will also be provided with free accommodation on sharing basis at the campus. Participants must attend the entire duration of the program.

Required Qualification

Candidates pursuing Pre-final/Final year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc., First/Second Year of M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc. and M.Phil. with outstanding academic record are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should highlight their academic performance and achievements including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained.
