Textbook and Educational Media Research 533 views

Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research (GEI) invites applications for several research fellowships in 2020. The aim of the fellowships is to support and promote academic work in the fields of textbook and educational media research.

Requirements:
  • Applications are welcome from doctoral candidates and established academics, as well as individuals both in Germany and around the world who work on textbook composition, for textbook publishers or whose didactic work influences curricula and textbooks.
  • At the end of their stay recipients are required to produce a report of no more than two pages.

Fellowship value: monthly grant of 1,000 EUR; travel allowances

Duration: 02 to 04 weeks

How to apply:

Applications should comprise the following documents sent to fellowship(at)leibniz-gei.de no (as one PDF document):

  • Completed application form
  • Brief CV detailing the candidate’s professional background and/or academic career to date, current position and language skills
  • List of publications, if applicable
  • An outline of the project detailing the research subject, aims and methodology (max. 3 pages)
  • List of literature (bibliography) in the GEI collection that the applicant wishes to consult during his or her stay
  • Schedule of the work planned during the stay at the GEI

Note:

  • Grants may be used at any time during 2020.
  • The selection process should be completed by the end of November 2019; the successful applicants will then be informed.
