The University of Queensland: Postdoc in Robotics and AI: School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Queensland invited applications from engineers and computer scientists with expertise in robotics, control theory, machine learning and artificial intelligence for filling up the Research Fellow in Robotics and AI which is directed  jointly by two Principal Investigators (PIs): a RASG researcher and an ITEE faculty member.

About the position: Selected candidates will take part in a new collaboration between CSIRO’s Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group (RASG) and ITEE/UQ in the broad area of AI-Enhanced Robotics (AI-R) funded by a Collaborative Research Project (CRP) between CSIRO and UQ. They will be liable for undertaking research; supervising research of higher degree students; and conducting professional activities at the intersection of the fields of robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD in computer science or engineering, robotics, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge in at least 2 areas including but not limited to robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, control theory and adaptive systems, and cognitive system. Candidates with Experience in systems thinking, development of robot software, and field robotics/Experience in system modelling and identification, adaptive systems, adaptive control, Bayesian modelling and inference, and cognitive architectures for robotics will be preferred.
