PhD fellowship is open in Theory of Online Machine Learning at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen
About the Project:
- The recipient will work on theoretical questions in online machine learning, with particular emphasis on algorithms and lower bounds that are applicable over ranges of problems.
- While the primary focus of the project is theoretical, application of the results to real-world problems will be encouraged and the PhD fellow will have access to a wide range of experts in application domains.
- Principal supervisor for the project will be Asstt. Prof. Yevgeny Seldin (seldin@di.ku.dk)
Duration: 3-year
Qualifications and requirements:
- Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Applicant must have strong mathematical background
- Applicants with excellent background in machine learning and probability theory will have an edge.
- Applicant must demonstrate keen interest in challenging theoretical problems in the fields of online learning / machine learning / probability theory
