Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) invites applications for its PhD program, TU Wien bioactive. There are 10 open PhD positions to work closely together to shape a better future. The ground-breaking concept combines methods for the discovery of novel bioactive substances and sustainable production of pharmaceuticals. The project is highly interconnected and relies on extensive collaboration of all participating students and advisors.

About the program:
  • Each selected student will benefit from a profound, interdisciplinary scientific education and the acquirement of additional skills, which lay the basis for a successful career in academia or the industry after completing the PhD study.
  • An internationally competitive orientation and realization of the PhD program will be provided.
  • The language of conduct of the program will be English

Requirements:

  • Candidates are required to be highly motivated, team-minded, solution-orientated.
  • Applicant must possess fluency in English
  • Applicant must possess profound analytical skills and background education.
  • Applicant must be able and willing to enroll in a Doctoral Program of TU Wien
  • Applicant must possess Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bio-process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a similar study

Starting date: beginning of February 2019
