Two (02) PhD positions in intense laser-matter interaction at the University of Rostock, Quantum Theory and Many-Particle Physics, Institute of Physics, Germany
Reference: EG13 TV-L / 2
Overview: In the research group „Quantum Theory and Many-Particle Systems“ at the University of Rostock, Germany, pending budgetary approval, two PhD positions will be available for three (03) years each (extension possible),.
Starting Date: May 2018 at the earliest.
Requirements:
- Applicants should have a Master degree in Physics.
- The job holders are supposed to work on the theory of intense laser-matter interaction, potentially focused on, e.g., condensed matter in intense laser fields, time-dependent many-body theory beyond linear response, reduced density matrices or the further development of time-dependent density functional theory for the description of laser-driven systems, or topological effects in strong-field physics.
- Teaching and supervision of Bachelor and Master students is expected.
Application Procedure: Only applications consisting of a single PDF file are accepted. Application files of size less than 2MB might be sent directly to dieter.bauer@uni-rostock.de. Only links to larger PDFs might be sent to the same email address.
Deadline is March 31, 2018.
