Two doctoral Positions in the field of Mechanics of Structures and Materials at the University of Central Florida, USA
Overview: Applications are invited for two (02) PhD positions at Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
The research will focus on modeling & design of lightweight, flexible, smart structures, with application towards deployable spacecraft structures. A combination of computational, experimental, & analytical methods will be utilized in this research.
Requirements:
- Candidates with background in nonlinear solid mechanics, finite element modeling, shape and deformation measurements, composite fabrication, are highly encouraged to apply.
- The positions will start in Summer 2017 or Fall 2017.
- Graduate research/teaching assistantships are available for strong candidates.
