The Department NanoBiophotonics (Prof. Dr. Stefan W. Hell) at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry is inviting applications for two PhD Student Positions (f/m) in the area of Physical Chemistry Approaches to Nanoscopy with Molecular Resolution (Code Number 36-18)
Project description: During thesis work, the successful candidates will
- Develop expertise in in-depth photophysical characterization of molecular fluorescent emitters,
- Harness it to optimize imaging conditions and resolution performance of cutting-edge nanoscopy approaches developed in the department.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Candidates should be highly motivated and prepared to work within a truly multidisciplinary team.
- Should have (or expect to complete soon) a Master’s or equivalent degree in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics or a comparable qualification.
