About the project:
- One project involves overlapping analyses of barley and Arabidopsis that are host and non-host to the fungus, respectively.
- The selected candidate will make molecular studies of these cellular mechanisms to uncover their role in the interaction between the plant and the fungus.
- Another project has been designed for expression of fungal effectors in yeast, where effector-targeted pathways will be revealed by genetic tools.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should have a PhD degree in Molecular Biology or related area
- Practical experience in plant genetics, yeast genetics, molecular and/or cell biology
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent in English (writing and speech)
- Practical experience in molecular plant-microbe interactions; plant and yeast genetics; cell membrane biology
