UCOM (Ultrasound Cavitation in sOft Materials) is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network, joint research training and doctoral programme, funded by the EU and implemented by a partnership of high profile universities, research institutions, and non-academic organisations. Applications are open to enthusiastic young researchers, who would like to enhance their career perspectives in both the academic and non- academic sectors through international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility combined with the innovation-oriented mind-set.

Duration: 1st October 2018 till 30th September 2022

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have Master (or equivalent) degree in Mechanical or Biofluid Engineering, Physics or Chemistry with solid knowledge of fluid dynamics and its applications
  • Applicant must be in the first 4 years of his/her research career, measured from the date of graduation (MSc degree or equivalent)
  • Applicant must not hold a PhD degree
  • Applicant must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in the country of their appointment for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before their appointment. For refugees under the Geneva Convention, the refugee procedure (i.e. before refugee status is conferred) will not be counted as ‘period of residence/activity in the country of the beneficiary’.
  • Applicant must possess fluency in English, in oral and written form.
