UGC: Postdoc Fellowship for Women:  The main  objective of this program is to provide opportunity to carry out the advanced studies & research in Science, Engineering and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian Universities/ Institutions / Colleges as indicated below:

1. Universities/Institutions/Colleges
2. Deemed to be Universities under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956
3. Universities/Institutions/Colleges funded by Central/ State Govt.
4. Institutes of National Importance.

ELIGIBILITY:

1. The fellowship is open for women candidates
2. The candidate should be unemployed.
3. Must have been awarded the Ph.D. degree
4. Provisional Certificate (degree) may be accepted in case the degree is not awarded).
5. The candidate should be 55 years of age
6. Candidates applying for PDF must upload the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the proposed research centre duly signed by HOD and Registrar/Principal/ Director
7. Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme.
8. The reservation shall be followed as per the Govt. of India norms.

NATURE OF ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE UNDER THE SCHEME:

Number of fellowships: 100 per year

Duration: The tenure of the award is 5 years with no provision for further extension.

The financial assistance available under the scheme is as follows

HRA: PDF will be provided with accommodation in hostel recognized/ maintained by the institutions may be reimbursed the hostel fee, excluding mess, electricity, water charges, etc.
