University of Bordeaux: International Post doctorates 1629 views

University of Bordeaux offers young international researchers to carry out their research projects in one of Bordeaux’s research laboratories. Support is granted to researchers from all disciplines demonstrating excellence in terms of their profile and their project.

Scholars promoting an original and innovative research project in one of the scientific priorities of IdEx Bordeaux will be considered with particular attention.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must hold PhD awarded by a non-French institution and be in an incoming mobility situation (not having resided in France for more than a year in the last 3 years).
  • Incoming fellows must not hold or have previously held a research position in Bordeaux area.
  • Applicant must have obtained PhD degree 4 years before the end of the present call (+1 year per maternity/paternity leave with a maximum of 2 years), and not later than 3 months after the end of the call.
  • Applicants must promote their own research project to be carried in the laboratory of their choice for a maximum period of 02 years.
  • Applicants must be supported by a local researcher and by their lab.

Funding:

  • Duration: maximum 02 year postdoc contract; 01 year contract that may be renewed once
  • contribution to project-related fees like travel, consumables

Application:

  • Applications to be submitted online via the web portal. All requested documents (in English) must be provided in order to validate the applications
  • Identify the proper local scientific environment for the project; Obtain the agreement of a local laboratory.
  • Attach the following documents:
  • application form
  • Project proposal
  • Brief CV with a list of a maximum of 3 referees
  • Achievements track-record (not more than 2 pages)
  • Signed letter of support from the local guide
  • Signed letter of support from the director of the host laboratory
  • Cover letter (in pdf format)
  • signed letters from the referees mentioned in CV
  • Copy of Doctorate certificate or other official document attesting that the applicant holds a PhD degree.
