UMGF: University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (Canada) for International Students: The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) are merit-based awards offered and open to international students.
Applicants must be those who will be registered as graduate students (Masters or Ph.D.) at University of Manitoba regardless of nationality or discipline.
- Students with a minimum GPA of 3.75 (above B+) on a Bachelor, Masters, Graduate Diploma or a Doctoral degree.
- All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply.
- All disciplines studied at the university
Citizens of ANY country (nationality / citizenship) are eligible to apply

First 24 months of their Master’s program
First 48 months of their PhD program.
Maximum UMGF support for any selected candidate is 48 months.
The value of these fellowships (for 12 month period), is $18,000 (for Ph.D.) and $14,000 (for Master’s).
