The Mathematics Research Unit at the University of Luxembourg has received a large grant from the Fonds National de la Recherche Luxembourg for its Doctoral program. Reference no is R-STR-1041-00-B.
Duration: initial contract is for 14-months; can be extended up to 3 years
Starting date: any time before 31/03/2019
About the program:
- Conduct research in Mathematics under the supervision of a professor, with the aim of studying towards a Doctoral degree in Mathematics.
- Publish research results and present them at conferences, workshops, etc.
- Teaching duty will be given to doctoral scholar of up to 60 hours/year
Eligibility:
- Applicant must have Master’s Degree or equivalent in Mathematics or related disciplines of high quality
- Applicant may apply if the respective degree is to be obtained soon.
- Applicant must have excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Applicant must have the dedication to doing Mathematics at research level; keenness to integrate in a team
