The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (University of the Sun Shine Coast) helps international researchers to undertake postgraduate research learning in Australia and get expertise with leading Australian researchers at University of the Sun Shine Coast. The aim of this scheme is to attract outstanding international postgraduate students to areas of research strength at USC and sustain Australia’s research efforts. Awards are available for international students of all nations (except New Zealand) for a period of two yrs for a master’s research degree & three yrs for doctoral research degrees. The scholarship includes tuition fees and health cover.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be an international student
- hold a Bachelor degree with 1st class honours/equivalent level of attainment
- not hold an equivalent HDR qualification to that being applied for
- be choose subject of study which is recognized by USC
- not have formerly held an Australian Government-aided research scholarship
- not helded an AusAID fellowship within 2 yrs before commencing the IPRS
- not be getting a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under any other scholarship plan to which the Australian Government makes a substantial involvement
- recipients must continue adequate progress at the University of the Sunshine Coast
Selection criteria:
- Undergraduate achievement; and
- Research alignment; and
- Publications; and
- most recent or relevant degree
