University of St Andrews offers University of St Andrews Library Visiting Scholarship. The visiting Scholarships are an opportunity for applicants external to the University to research a topic in the Library’s Special Collections.
About the scholarships:
- The scholarships are open to all interested researchers, whether or not affiliated to a university, and at whatever level.
- This Scholarship gives the applicant the opportunity to visit the University of St Andrews and experience first-hand the Library’s unique collections which offer research potential across an exceptionally broad array of disciplines.
Scholarship value:
- Financial support: maximum £1,500; covers travel and accommodation (but not subsistence, during the Scholarship)
- Accommodation in a University hall of residence
Duration: between 1 July and 31 August 2018 (mutually agreed time); 2-8 weeks.
Essential Criteria:
- All activity must be based strongly on the Special Collections of the University of St Andrews Library.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit the application form. The complete application form must include:
- Personal details
- Details of the intended project to include: title of project, proposed start and end date, vision, methodology and intended for outputs (max 2 pages of A4).
- CV (up to date)
- List of relevant publications (up to date)
- 01 reference in support of the application
