UT is one of the world’s leading research-education universities. UTRIP stands for University of Tokyo Research Internship Program. Its operations began in June 2010 for supporting the internationalization of the GSS by encouraging talented young students from outside.

UTRIP is an internship program that will take place at the University of Tokyo.

Duration of the Internship: 6 weeks- 10th June to 21st July, 2020)

The UTRIP Summer Internship Program was launched by the (GSS) Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo.

Internship Benefits: The UTRIP internship Program will cover all the costs (expenses) of the Selected applicants. 
  • Round Trip Airfare Tickets will be Provided.
  • Free Living Accommodation and Monthly Allowance to cover additional expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have completed 1last year’s undergraduate degree.
  • Candidates in the 3rd year of 4-year bachelor degree program are can also apply.
  • Applicants in their 2nd year of the 3-year bachelor degree programs are also welcome.
  • One should be enrolled in the natural science field like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth, and Planetary science.
  • Applicants who have got an English-Medium Education completed in the past 8 years are free from submitting English proficiency test records. They Can Provide any English Proficiency Certificate. Otherwise, TOEFL, IELTS, or TOEIC scores would be required.
  • The applicant must submit a current academic transcript.
  • The applicant must submit a recommendation letter from a valid source.
  • Applications are not acceptable after the deadline.

  • The application form needs to be filled and all the required documents should be attached.
  • The selected candidates will be notified by email from UTRIP in March 2020. They’ll be needed to check their email regularly and respond whenever the email notification is received.
