The University is inviting applications for Bay of Plenty Rugby Union Doctoral Scholarship.

Nationality: open for international students, New Zealand citizens and permanent residents

Students planning to enrol in full-time doctoral research in the Faculty of Health, Sport & Human Performance at the UoW Adams Centre for High Performance based in Tauranga can apply for the scholarship.

Level of Study: Doctoral program/ Postgraduate Research Program

Scholarship Award Benefits: The Scholarship offers:

• a stipend of up to $15,000 per annum, payable in monthly instalments and
• domestic tuition fees for the duration of the course

Duration of the scholarship: 3 years

Number of Scholarships: one scholarship available

Eligibility Criteria: the applicants should:

• demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission.
• show how their intended research will align with supporting the development of rugby athlete performance.

• A 2-page Personal Statement (using the template provided)
• 2 written academic references
• If applicable, verified copies of academic transcripts from any tertiary institutions (other than the University of Waikato) the candidate has attended
• It should be ensured that all questions are answered and that all the required documents are submitted along with the application form.
