The Wetsus research program brings together research on water technology from over 16 universities from all over Europe in one physical location in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. The eight positions are open for excellent and highly motivated candidates with interest in water science and technology.

Requirements:

  • The candidate holds a master degree in the relevant discipline (see the PhD position) or will receive this before the appointment date
  • The candidate doesn’t hold a previous PhD degree
  • The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team in an international environment and to work independently
  • Strong interest in research and science
  • Excellent English communication skills, orally as well as in scientific writing
  • Candidates may be of any nationality.
  • At the time of recruitment he/she lived/worked < 12 months in the Netherlands during the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment.
  • The candidate must be an early-stage researcher at the time of recruitment (i.e. in the first four years of his/her research career and not has a doctoral degree)
