JRF (PhD) in Chemistry Aliah University, Kolkata India

Notification for admission to Ph. D. Programme of JRF under DST sponsored project in the Department of Chemistry Applications in prescribed format are invited for purely temporary position of a full time Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to be filled under DST sponsored project entitled “Photoresponsive Flexible Porous Coordination Polymer toward Construction of On-demand Guest-Molecular Trapping or Storage Systems” in Chemistry under the guidance of Dr. Md. Hedayetullah Mir, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Aliah University, Kolkata.

Selection will be done through an interview process after receiving the application form eligible candidates. There are no fees for the application. Eligibility criteria: (i) M. Sc. in Chemistry from a UGC recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). (ii) Age limit: up to 28 years as on 30.06.2015 (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC). Fellowship: Three years DST project. Fellowship will be given first two years for JRF and 3rd year for SRF (Senior Research Fellow) as per DST rule with justification of research work done after each year.

Applicant is to send a plain application along with current CV & testimonials (self attested) in support of age, qualifications and experience (if any) in a sealed envelope (super-scribing “Application for JRF position under DST sponsored project, Department of Chemistry, Aliah University”) to The HOD, Dept. of Chemistry, Aliah University, Action Area, IIA/27, New Town, Kolkata-700156 latest by 29.06.2015 till 5.00 pm.

The University reserves the right to prepare a shortlist of the applicants after screening the received applications. Only short-listed applicants will receive an e-mail from Dr. Md. Hedayetullah Mir within 01.07.2015, for appearing the interview.

They are requested to appear along with original testimonials and hard copy of the e-mail document. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing the interview.
