Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a BRNS funded research project entitled “Mechanism of STAT5B in pancreatic beta cell proliferation/sustenance and its significance in diabetes in the laboratory of Dr. Malini Laloraya at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have a Masters Degree in any area of Biological Sciences with at least 60% marks. Qualification in National Eligibility Test [CSIR-UGC NET Including LS /GATE/ Joint Admission Test (JAM)/ GPAT/ DBT-JRF/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Science (JGEEBILS)/ ICMR-JRF Examination] is desirable.

AGE: Below 28 years as on 20th July, 2015.

EMOLUMENTS:

Rs. 25,000 for the first two years and Rs. 28,000 for the third year + HRA/MA as per host institute rules for National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified candidates. Rs. 16,000/- + HRA/MA as per host institute rules for others.

DURATION:

Two and a half years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier)

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed. No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.

The selected candidate shall be required to work full time in the Female Reproduction and Metabolic Syndromes Laboratory, Division of Molecular Reproduction, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Trivandrum.
