JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW at Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre Sector-I, Block- AF, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata-700064

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: Applications are invited for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Kolkata in the field of “Effect of irradiation in structural materials” purely on temporary basis. The tenure of the fellowship may be maximum of five years. The JRF joined on selection will be eligible for registration in the Ph.D. programme of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI,deemed to be University), subject to fulfillment of HBNI norms.

Essential Qualification:

First Class M Tech in Metallurgy/Materials Science/Nano Science and Technology/Mechanical Engineering from any recognized University/Institute. (The candidate must be a B.Tech or M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics prior to M.Tech. and must have qualified GATE for entry into the M.Tech. course.)

Fellowship:

A fellowship for an amount of Rs.25000/- (Rupees Twenty-five thousand only) p.m. for the first two years and Rs.28000/- (Rupees Twenty-eight thousand only) p.m. for the rest, plus HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided) and other facilities as admissible as per the Institution’s
rules. He/she will also be entitled to a Contingency Grant of Rs.32000/-(Rupees Thirty-two thousand only) per annum.

The eligible candidates are invited to appear in the WALK-IN-INTER-VIEW to be held on November 17, 2015 (Tuesday) at 10 AM onwards at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Sector-I, Block- AF, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata – 700 064 (Near C.A.P. The candidates should bring all their Mark sheets, Certificates in original alongwith its photocopies, two recommendation letters issued by the faculty members of the institute last attended and other relevant testimonials along with the application (hand written or typed) containing full Bio-data (results from SSC/Madhyamik onwards) at the time of the interview.
