JRF Position in DAE-BRNS Project at Division of Physics, School of Advanced Sciences VIT University, Chennai 600 127, Tamil Nadu.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Department of Atomic Energy, Board of Research in Nuclear Science (DAE-BRNS) funded research project entitled ‘Growth and characterization of organo-metallic thiocyanate crystals for nonlinear optical device applications

(Sanction No. 34/14/55/2014-BRNS/2104) at VIT University, Chennai 600 127, Tamil Nadu.

Post name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Qualification: M.Sc. Physics/Applied Physics/Materials Science, M.Tech. (Engineering Physics/Materials Science) with minimum of 60% marks. NET/GATE qualified candidate will be preferred for the post of JRF.

Period of project: Three (03) years.

Fellowship: As per DAE norms (Rs 25,000 p.m. for first two years and Rs 28,000 p.m. for the subsequent year).

Last date for receipt of application: 30 August 2015.

The candidate would be encouraged to work for his/her Ph.D.
