BESS provides partial funding for this position (~$27,000) with the rest expected to come from other sources, most often the collaborating faculty supervisor. Thus, potential applicants need to first contact one of the BESS co-PIs, in consultation with whom the applicant will prepare the following materials.

  2. Two letters of reference
  3. Scientific goals and research plan relevant to BESS (the co-PI can provide more details on BESS – the website is still under development) – MAXIMUM TWO PAGES
  4. A funding plan agreed upon with you and your proposed faculty supervisor – MAXIMUM ONE PAGE
