Postdoc in Pharmaceutical Sciences cellular responses to drug, USA

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking applicants for a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in the laboratory of Dr. Nichole Reisdorph. This position’s primary assignment will be focused principally on the continuing development of research skills. More specifically, this position will be responsible for conducting research focused on utilizing metabolomics to rapidly determine the mechanisms mediating cellular responses to drug or biological threat agents.

The individual in this position will be responsible for the metabolomics aspects of the project, including sample preparation, analysis, and identifying metabolites Experimental skills that are required to conduct the study include ion mobility-mass spectrometry, mass spectrometry, metabolomics, liquid chromatography, statistics, bioinformatics, data analysis, and cell culture.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a closely related field.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates with strong knowledge and experience in ion mobility mass spectrometry, mass spectrometry and metabolomics are preferred.
