Postdoctoral Scholar in Brain Imaging Genetics at University of California, San Diego . We are particularly interested in applicants with computational and programming skills to analyze large-scale high dimensional data. A background in genomics or computational disciplines and a strong publication record are preferable.

Requirements / Qualifications: We are looking for a highly motivated individual with PhD or equivalent to join our team for imaging genomics research (Multimodal Imaging Laboratory (MMIL) at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) http://mmil.ucsd.edu).

Current projects focus on studying the genetic basis of the human brain and psychiatric disorders. We use genotype-phenotype mapping to identify genetic variants associated with brain structures in a large sample, all with structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data. The post holder will implement genome-wide association analyses and advanced statistical methods to study brain phenotypes. For qualified candidates there are excellent opportunities to pursue research interests in brain imaging, statistical genetics, and brain disorders in a multi-discipline team. The position is available to start immediately.
