The activities of the Postdoc position are focused on appliedresearch in the field of Chemistry and Materials Science.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing and analyzing scientific experiments.
The candidate will optimize the preparation of stimuli-responsive polymers, specially light-, magnetic-, and redox-responsive polymers. In addition, the candidate will participate in writing scientific publications, grant applications, presenting data at national and international scientific meetings, and leading small projects (or individual work-packages of large projects).

 

The candidate should have a PhD degree in Chemistry or related disciplines. We are looking for a highly motivated person capable of independent, efficient handling of scientific and industry related projects in an interdisciplinary environment. The candidate is expected to actively bring in his/her scientific expertise and competence and to have good communication skills. Previous experience with responsive materials, polymer synthesis (including surface-initiated polymerization), and surface analytics, is required. Experience with organic synthesis would be a plus. Fluency in German both oral and written is desired. The position (100%) will be initially limited to two years.
