A post-doctoral position is available at the Department of Nutritional and Physiological Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry. The candidate will pursue the identification of bioactive aroma compounds preferentially regulating lipid metabolism by means of cell culture and human intervention studies involving techniques applied in basic molecular biology research.

Duration of contract: 6 years

Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week

Occupation group in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc)

On top of this relevant chargeable work experience determines the assessment to a particular salary grade.

Areas of work:

– Application of cell culture experiments using Radioactive and fluorescent labels followed by protein and gene expression analyses for the identification of bioactive aroma compounds

– Application of human intervention and sensory studies

– Teaching assistance in practical courses in the field of chemistry and nutrition held in German and English as agreed upon in the collective contract of the University
