The School of Biological Sciences at University of California has open position available for a molecular biologist, microbiologist, biochemists, or bacteriologist to study bacteria resistance to antibiotics and to train undergraduate researchers in the Minority Science Programs.
About the position:
- The successful candidate should be a highly organized, motivated and dedicated person with skills and interest to train undergraduate researchers conducting innovative research projects on the biology of the antibiotic resistome.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics, antibiotic resistance, and molecular microbiology are a plus, but they are not required.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required, including proven writing skills documented by recent papers.
Requirements:
- Applicants must hold PhD and should have experience in biology research, with evidence of publications.
Duration: initially for a one-year period; with extensions possible
