RIKEN (The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) is Seeking a Research Scientist, Postdoc Researcher, Research Associate, Technical Scientist or Technical Staff at the Epigenome Technology Exploration Unit)

Institute: RIKEN, Center for Life Science Technologies.

Laboratory:

1. Epigenome Technology Exploration Unit
2. Omics Application Technology Group
3. Division of Genomic Technologies
4. RIKEN Center for Life Science Technologies (Unit Leader: Aki Minoda)

Research areas:

1. Development of novel epigenomic technologies to study combinations of histone modifications present on each histone and nucleosome.
2. Identify epigenomic signatures
3. Identification of novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets.

Requirements:

1. Experience and knowledge of bioinformatics analysis for chromatin (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and DNA methylation)
2. A team player
3. Good communication skills
4. .Comfortable with English language for scientific discussion & publication

For Research Scientist, Postdoctoral Researcher

1. Ph.D. holder
2. Candidate with less than 3 years postdoc experience will be considered for the position of Postdoc Researcher.

For Research Associate 

1. Master’s degree holder
2. Should also have a strong desire to earn a PhD

Technical Scientist

1. Holder of a BA degree or above with
2. Substantial experience and skills relevant
3. More than 5 years experience in relevant fields.

Technical Staff

1. Graduate of a professional training school, junior college, university or graduate school with expertise
2. Skills relevant to a field indicated under or equal abilities and more than 2 years experience in a relevant field.
