Description:

A call for 15 PhD positions (Early Stage Researchers, ESRs) is open for the context of the recently granted European Innovative Training Network project BestTreat – Building a Gut Microbiome Engineering Toolbox for In-Situ Therapeutic Treatments for Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

BestTreat is a consortium of 5 universities, 1 research center, 1 hospital and 7 companies distributed among Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Sweden and China.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in systems biology, human biology, bioengineering, biochemistry or related field
  2. Background in computer science, bioinformatics, metabolism and microbiology will be an advantage

Type of Fellowships available under H2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie programme:

  1. Early Stage Researcher: Applicants should be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not yet been awarded a PhD degree.
  2. Mobility rule: Applicants should not have resided or carried out main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
  3. English language: Applicants must demonstrate that their ability to understand and express themselves in both written and spoken English is sufficiently high.

  2. Hiring will take place between September 1st, 2018 and February 1st, 2019.
