3 PhD positions: European Training Network FORA 1696 views

Technical University of Denmark (DTU Compute), Sections for Embedded Systems Engineering (ESE), invites applications for 3 PhD positions in the European Training Network for Fog Computing for Robotics and Industrial Automation (FORA). The FORA project is founded by the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

Duration: 3 years

Starting date:  April 1st, 2018.

Following are the FORA PhD projects:

  1. Open source Fog Node: hardware support for virtualization
  2. Fog configuration for critical control applications
  3. Distributed real-time operational data analytics

Requirements:

  • Applicants at the time of recruitment by DTU must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and not yet have been awarded a doctoral degree.
  • Applicants must not have stayed or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Denmark for more than a year in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date at the time of recruitment by DTU.
  • Applicant must hold master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Applicant must possess good command of the English language and demonstrate ability to write technical reports or scientific articles.
