CIDOB: Researcher in the Migrations area 1193 views

Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) invites applications for a researcher for its Migrations area.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Selected researcher will collect and analyse data and prepare academic articles and reports.
  • Selected researcher will work closely with senior research fellows at CIDOB and with international partners in the ongoing projects (NIEM, EWSI and MIPEX).
  • Selected researcher will be responsible for monitoring and analysis of the integration policy of immigrants and refugees in the Spanish context
  • Selected researcher will be responsible for publication of academic articles and public policy reports
  • Selected researcher will be responsible for support in the implementation and in the organization of activities and events
  • Selected researcher will be responsible for support to the communication and the dissemination of the projects of the area
  • Selected researcher will be responsible for support in the development of future research proposals

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold university degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree, with a specialty in migrations.
  • Applicants holding PhD degree with specialisation in the area of international migrations and/or publications on the subject in indexed journals would have an advantage.
  • Applicant must possess high level of fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
  • Applicant must have 05 years of experience in research and analysis of integration policies and their main databases (e.g. MIPEX)
  • Applicant must have knowledge in qualitative and quantitative research techniques; ability to solve problems, analytical skills and ability to work both independently and in a team

Tenure: full time permanent contract with six months trial period; applicant must have a valid work permit.

Salary: 25.000€ – 30.000€ gross annual salary (depending on experience and merits).

Starting date: beginning of October 2017
