Helmholtz Zentrum München (German Research Center for Environmental Health) invites applications for a Junior postdoctoral scientist.

About the position:

  • Planning and realisation of experimental studies in the area of proteomics, especially cellular communication via exosomes
  • Proteomics data analysis using software tools for quantification and pathway analysis
  • Validation using immunoblotting, ELISA, targeted transcriptomics, and other methods
  • Written and graphical documentation and evaluation for conferences, scientific publications and reports

Qualifications

  • Applicant must hold PhD or equivalent level of professional qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subjects
  • Applicant must have hands on experience in in-gel and in-solution digestion, agarose/ polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and immunoblotting, label-free proteomics, and light and confocal laser scanning microscopy
  • Applicant must also possess theoretical and practical experience in mass spectrometry and programme-assisted mass spectra analysis
  • Applicant must demonstrate high motivation and initiative, flexibility, ability to work in a team, and creative thinking
  • Applicant must possess good skills in English and German (oral and written)
  • Applicants with international experience would have an advantage

Salary: Remuneration and benefits are as per with the collective agreement for the public service (EG 13 TV EntgO Bund).

Duration: initially limited to 2 years.
