IPODI: International Post-Doc Initiative 1982 views

The International Post-Doc Initiative (IPODI) is part of the gender equality approach of the Technische Universität Berlin and focuses at increasing the number of female researchers in leadership positions.

Duration: A two-year employment contract

Fellowship value:

  • salaries equivalent to those of the Marie Curie Programme for experienced researchers
  • social security; health insurance
  • pension coverage
  • travel allowance (yearly) depending on the researcher’s location of origin
  • research costs: EUR 4,800 per fellowship
  • opportunity for professional training in transferable skills and research management

The IPODI Fellowship Programme is open to exceptional researchers from all over the world and from all fields of research.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must have at least two and maximum 10 years of research experience after receiving her doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent), in exceptional cases extension of up to 3 years is possible.
  • Applicant must not have stayed or carried out her main activity in Germany for more than a year in the three years prior to the call deadline (Marie Curie Mobility Rule).
  • The research proposal must fit into one of the fields of research of the TU Berlin’s seven faculties and is supported by a cooperating prof. of the TU Berlin.

  • research proposal (innovative and independent)
  • Schedule (time plan) demonstrating how the proposed objectives are to be achieved
  • Letter of motivation describing in detail career perspectives and motivation to apply for IPODI
  • Completed ethical issues table
  • Letter of support of a cooperating prof. of the TU Berlin
  • 2 external letters of reference
  • Researchers returning from periods of international mobility (researching outside Germany), inter-sectoral mobility (working in the private sector) or non-academic mobility (e.g. after parental leave) are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Applications must be submitted in English.
