Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment: Young Scientist Awards 1807 views

Kerala State Young Scientist Award Scheme offers financial assistance for attending international conference overseas. The Kerala State Young Scientist Awards by the KSCSTE are intended to honour talented young Scientists in recognition of their exceptional contributions in any branch of science and technology coming within the purview of the Council.

Award value:

  • cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, in exceptionally meritorious and needy cases
  • awardee may be considered by the Council for start-up research with a research grant after due consideration of the research project with the help of an expert committee
  • recipient within 3 years of the receipt of the award, will be considered for a visit abroad for presenting the research work at international conferences

Guidelines

  • conference must be of an international character
  • Travel fare for presenting the research work at the international conferences
  • The support is applicable only to Kerala State Young Scientist Awardees
  • assistance will cover air fare (economy class by the shortest route) registration fee, visa fee, and a maintenance allowance upto Rs.3000/day subject to a maximum of 3 days
  • applicant must have acceptance of the paper to be presented in the conference
  • The completed application must be received 6-8 weeks before the due date of the conference (forwarded through proper channel)

Documents required:

  • 2 copies of the complete application form and CV.
  • Details of announcement of the conference
  • Paper Abstract to be presented in the conference.
  • Proof in support of acceptance of the paper for presentation.
  • Proof that the conference is of international Character.
  • Technical programme of the conference.
