Merit scholarships for international students 1282 views

Universität Hamburg offers Merit scholarships for International students and first-degree graduates. Students must be completing a degree at the University and demonstrate good to excellent academic performance.

Scholarship value: up to € 650/month

Duration: 12 month period

When to apply:

  • The time for application depends on which degree program the applicant is completing:
  • For Diplom, Magister, or Staatsexamen (state examination), applicant may apply after completing Hauptstudium.
  • For BA, B.Sc, MA, or M.Sc degree, or PhD, applicant must be in at least IIIrd semester.
  • All applicants must have been enrolled on their degree program at Universität Hamburg for at least two semesters.

Application requirements

  • CV in tabular form
  • Evidence of social and/or political commitment in an international context
  • Copy of residence permit
  • Letter of motivation including reasons for Scholarship requirements
  • course certificate
  • Master’s and doctoral student, must submit latest record of grades.
  • 2 evaluations from supervising professors.
  • Apply online for Merit scholarships using the application portal on University website.
