Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS): The Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS) is an effort by Malaysian Government to support and attract the best scholars around the world who wish to pursue advanced academic studies in Malaysia. Talented and outstanding international students with excellent academic records are welcomed to apply for the scholarship and carry on their studies in any selected and well-established Malaysian public and private universities.

This scholarship is for 2 levels of studies:

1. Postgraduate and
2. Post-doctoral Studies.

Eligibility     

Applicants who fit in following criteria must be eligible for Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS):

1. Age limits: Postgraduate- Not be more than 40 years

       Postdoctoral- 45 years

2. Academic qualification: A minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 at Masters degree level in a related field of intended PhD study.
3. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be accessed based on published articles/books/chapters/patents.
4. Pass English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before deadline of application. The list of tests and minimum scores considered:
5. IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or
6. TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
7. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional.
8. Apply with a proposal that is related to the field of studies.
9. Already applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application or has a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with Universities in Malaysia).

University: Please check the website to know about 28 Universities of Malasia in one of which successful candidates must have applied for either postgraduate or postdoctoral course.
