MPI for Physics: Scientist, Physicist ATLAS 1311 views

Max Planck Institute for Physics and CERN invites applications for Physicist (in ATLAS research group) to drive physics analysis in one the physics.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Take over a leading role in physics analysis at all levels from early studies to publication
  • Assume responsibility for tasks in the software and computing area of ATLAS
  • Supervision of students

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold PhD or equivalent with a topic in particle physics
  • Applicant must demonstrate experience with successful particle physics analysis in a collaboration
  • Applicant must possess good understanding of programming languages such C++, python and unix shell
  • Applicant must have experience with the computing system of a particle physics experiment
  • Applicant must have good communication capabilities, readiness to acquire new skills, flexibility, and a team oriented working style

Duration: tilt 31 December 2019
