Pasteur-Paris University (PPU) international Doctoral program in Life Sciences and Biomedicine is an exceptional PhD program in the exciting, vibrant and interactive research environment of the Institut Pasteur in association with Parisian universities.

Eligibility:
  1. Diploma requirement:
  • Master’s degree or an equivalent in science, medicine or related fields obtained at a university outside France before the commencement of the programme.
  • Students holding a bachelor’s degree received after 4 years of academic education may be considered if they have additional lab experience of at least 6 months, with a written final report or a publication.
  1. Language: applicant must be proficient in English since the programme is conducted in English language. TOEFL or other language proficiency scores may be indicated application submission. French knowledge is not required, but a basic knowledge may be useful in the daily life outside the Institute.
  2. Age: The PPU PhD program does not have an age restriction, but most accepted candidates are 24-26 years old and start their Ph.D. within a year of finishing their Master’s.
  3. External funding: applicants with external funding are also eligible for the PPU program but the applicant must go through the same application process and be selected by the committee.
  4. Mobility: Students who have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than a year in the 3 years immediately prior to the 1st day of recruitment by the PPU program are not eligible.
