Post-Doctoral Researcher in Experimental Social Sciences 1170 views

CESS Nuffield – FLAME University invites applications for a position of Post-Doctoral Researcher. This opportunity is suited to candidates interested in spending one or two years post PhD to publish their dissertation and co-author new lab or lab-in-the-field experiments with subjects in India.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • The position is approximately 80% research, with the requirement to teach 30 hours (one course in the FLAME University system) per academic year.
  • The Post Doc will also be expected to participate in research design workshops with our international faculty affiliates, attend research seminars, and help organize a research conference.
  • The Post Docs will report to the Directors of CESS Nuffield – FLAME University.
  • Compensation will be generous according to Indian academic pay scales and sufficient to qualify the selected candidates for a work visa (if required).

Starting date: flexible, beginning around September 2018

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have expertise in cooperation, trust, behavior change, behavioral economics, and regulation, though other fields will also be considered.
  • Applicants with interest in running lab-in-the-field studies in applied contexts such as gender and competition, sanitation, health, and livelihoods.
  • Applicant must hold PhD/DPhil in any of the Social Sciences, Psychology or applied social science fields (public policy, public health, management, etc.) and a dissertation involving at least one experiment (lab, field, or anywhere in between).
