Scientist II, Microbiology: United States Pharmacopeial 1378 views

United States Pharmacopeial (USP) invites applications for Scientist II in Microbiology at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The position is Full-Time/Regular.

About the Job:
  • This is a hands-on, non-supervisory position in USP-India’s Biologics Lab.
  • Conducts lab test procedures as per requirement and involves in Verification Program, method verification, method development, method validation, collaborative testing and training programs.
  • Responsible for independent execution of project tasks when assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on Bench work
  • Independently planning and execution of experiments
  • Planning of daily work, records and review results and documents to ensure correctness and to fulfill targets on time
  • Scientist would be responsible to complete assigned work with quality and in a timely manner.
  • Selected candidate would assist the group leader in implementing laboratory procedures and systems and Coordinates with other team members as per requirement
  • Selected candidate will prepares protocols and reports including calculations and conclusions; presentations and documents related to projects and various scientific discussions as delegated.
  • Selected candidate will follow QMS practices; assists supervisor in planning, evaluating and implementing lab procedures and systems; ensures aspects related to safety, ethics and legal compliance; performs in-charge duties for the allocated lab/equipment/inventory/supporting activities and takes responsibility for the timely completion of the tasks assigned.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Microbiology with not less than four years of experience in Microbiology quality control department working on Antibiotic Potency assays.
  • Applicant must have hands-on experience in (but not limited to) Enumeration, Identification, Sterility, Bacterial Endotoxin testing, etc.; execution of Compendial Microbiological test procedures and sound understanding of QMS and cGLP.
  • Applicant must have experience in executing Rapid Microbiology methods will be preferred.
