The School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo is the first new pharmacy school in Canada in 20 years and housed in a state-of-the-art education and research building on the Health Sciences Campus in downtown Kitchener. 

Dr. Paul Spagnuolo, at the School of Pharmacy, University of Waterloo, is seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. Candidate with a background in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline. The project focuses on translating recent laboratory findings into a dietary supplement and will require considerable project and time management skills.

Who can apply

The individual must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work competently within tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a BSc and MSc. with experience in product formulation, analytic techniques such as LC/MS, and human clinical trial. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of nutraceutical research and work on a project aimed at improving human health. We offer an innovative undergraduate pharmacy curriculum that integrates foundational knowledge in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences with applied skills in the clinical, behavioural and social sciences to prepare our graduates to serve as medication therapy experts.
