The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization is a research institute focussed on both experimental and theoretical fundamental research with an international scientific and administrative staff of about 250 people. Within the department Dynamics of Complex Fluids headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Herminghaus we seek to fill Postdoctoral Positions within a research group in the field of Experimental Soft Condensed Matter Physics.
Postdoctoral candidates should have an extensive background in soft matter physics or related subjects. We are looking for experimental expertise in droplet/microemulsion microfluidics and optical manipulation, as well as programming/scripting experience in any of Python/Matlab/IDL/C and image processing software like ImageJ.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is required for both positions.
A postdoctoral position is limited to a duration of two years with the possibility of extension. Salary is in accordance with the German state public service salary scale (TVöD-Bund) and the accordant social benefits.
