LUT School of Energy Systems/Electrical Energy Engineering (LES EEE) is a strong unit of about 100 researchers and six professors. LES EEE is, in general, active in the fields of electrical power engineering and electricity market. Some highlights of our research are related to solar economy and energy system analysis in EE, Smart grids, DC-delivery systems, advanced power electronic hardware and control of electrical drives, special rotating electrical machines for different applications (wind power, high-speed machines, traction drives, distributed power production etc.) and energy efficiency advancement by the help of electrical drive systems. About 10 doctors graduate annually from LES EEE.LUT Doctoral School / Doctoral Programme in Electrical Energy Engineering has 6 full-time Doctoral Student positions available from January 1, 2016 or agreed upon separately.
Doctoral Programme in Electrical Energy Engineering is looking for doctoral student candidates with interest to conduct research in the fields of solar economy and energy system analysis in EE, smart grids, electricity market, energy efficiency, electrical machines and drives, power electronics and control engineering (related to electrical engineering and/or energy systems).
