You will be working in a highly interdisciplinary environment at the interface between chemistry and computer science. We are an interdisciplinary research group positioned between computational design and experimental testing of bioactive compounds. We offer a small but fully equipped organic synthesis laboratory along with a wide range of standard measurement methods such HPLC/SFC or CD as well as biophysical methods such as SPR, DLS, ITC or DSC. 

The project requires strong interactions with all PhD projects in the group as well as collaborating researchers from other universities and organizations, and the willingness to work as a member of a team. The willingness to support project goals of other team members is mandatory.

The successful applicant should have excellent knowledge of small molecule organic synthesis and analytics, experience in the aforementioned methods is beneficial.

Experience in programming is also considered beneficial, as is knowledge about solid-phase peptide synthesis. While the position is within the area of experimental drug discovery, an affinity towards the computational molecular design methods involved would be welcome.

Candidates should be highly motivated, self-organized, creative, displaying initiative and used to thinking sideways. Excellent command of the English language is expected.

The willingness to assist in the supervision of PhD candidates as well as in teaching duties is expected.
