European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is looking for a computational genomics expert to join a team of EMBL and GSK scientists deciphering the molecular and cellular bases of autoimmune diseases. This is a joint postdoctoral fellowship position between EMBL (main advisor) and GSK, within the collaborative framework between EMBL and GSK. The host lab at EMBL is lead by Judith Zaugg and the host lab at GSK is headed Maria Savitski. The project combines big-data multiomics analysis in bulk and at single cell level of primary samples and perturbation screens.
Role and responsibilities:
- The selected candidate will be driving all aspects of the project, including the definition and implementation of the multiomics data analysis strategy, coordination validation strategies, presentation of the results at international conferences and finally publication of the results.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have experience in computational genomics viz., PhD in the field of computational biology, statistics, systems biology, statistics and /or programming.
- Applicant must have a biological background in immunology, T-cell biology, autoimmune diseases or genetics.
- Experience in single cell data analysis, epigenetics, experimental expertise in molecular biology or genomics would be advantageous.
